My wife, Dolly and I believe that God has uniquely called and prepared us for church planting in Oregon. We are both Northwest natives and are passionate about bringing the Gospel to the people in this region.

In 2004, I served a year deployment with the Army Reserves in the Middle East, during which time I continued my studies and married my high school sweetheart. My deployment served as a pivotal time in refining my understanding of the Gospel, evangelism, and leadership.

Upon returning, I completed a Bachelor in Biblical Studies through Moody Bible Institute and began working as a staff deacon at Mars Hill Church in Seattle. My responsibilities evolved over time and included counseling, discipleship, teaching, team formation, and administration.

In 2009, after 5 years of vocational ministry, we moved to Charlotte, NC in order to pursue a Master of Divinity through Reformed Theological Seminary.

Dolly works as a pediatric nurse and enjoys serving families and children. The Lord has uniquely called her to serve others with compassion and hospitality. We believe her giftings will allow her to serve the church plant in unique ways. We have two daughters, Josephine (4) and Maribelle (2). We enjoy cooking, reading, and family outings.

For years, we have prayed for the Lord to lead us back to the Northwest to an area in desperate need of the Gospel and a grace-centered church. We have fervently prayed for him to give us a heart and love for the people. He has answered our prayers in giving us a heart for the city of Corvallis. With much excitement, Dolly and I look forward to bringing the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the people of Corvallis.

After growing up in the Northwest, I have had a unique journey that has taken me overseas, to the Midwest and all four corners of the country. Never did I imagine that the Lord would call me to return to Oregon to co-plant a church and serve him as a campus minister at Oregon State University. In retrospect, I believe my journey back has prepared me for this very purpose.

It was in college that I first sensed a call to the ministry. After graduating from Cornell with an engineering degree, I moved to the campus of the University of Illinois where I had the opportunity to serve in various ways at a campus church. Jane and I met and we got married in 2005.

We moved to Orlando where I received my theological training at Reformed Theological Seminary. I worked as a college pastor and had the privilege of establishing a college ministry at our church, Harvest. After seminary I taught religious studies at a private, non-sectarian school and enjoyed exploring the claims of the bible, of Christianity and other religions with students from a wide range of backgrounds.

Currently I am serving an internship at Harbor Presbyterian Church in San Diego. Harbor’s mission to ignite a church planting movement throughout San Diego and Tijuana with the gospel of Jesus has deepened my passion for church planting and profoundly shaped my understanding of the gospel.

Jane is a teacher and has taught in Illinois, Florida, and California. We are proud parents of our son, Caleb (20 mo). We appreciate the Northwest, its beauty, good coffee, and its eclectic and innovative people who are so devoted to their cities and land. Our heart’s desire is that Christ would be Lord of the people of Corvallis and the students at OSU.
